In its effort of promoting education and community awareness, Onima Institute successfully presented “Traditional Sounds and Rhythms of Africa” in a two hour presentation program, on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at the Auburn Research Library Auditorium in Atlanta Georgia.

Dr. Ijedimma B. Oparah,
Chairman, Onima Institute for Tradition and Development USA, Inc.

 Educated in the USA with graduate degrees in Counseling and School Psychology; Served as educator for over 29 years at the University and Public School settings in USA as well as Nigeria; President and co-owner of Atlanta-based Educational Consulting Firm; Co-owner and CEO of a Specialty Bakery based in Fayetteville, GA; Married & father of four, Dr. Oparah is a grandfather.

Dr. Ohiwere Esezobor

Dr. Ohiwere A. Esezobor studied in the United States and has his Ph.D in School Counseling and has been serving for the past 16 years.  He is currently the Chair of the Department of School Counseling at the Compton Elementary School. Ohiwere is a native of Iuleha in Owan West Local Government Area in Edo State of Nigeria; Dr. Esezobor is married and a father of four.

 

Emota I. Ojior, (Mrs.), BBA, MIT

Emota Ojior received her education in the United States of America where she studied Business Administration and holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology. A former banking executive, Emota has international experience in Administration, Industrial Development, and Investment Management. She is a retired public service officer and currently a Portfolio Manager with a fortune 500 company in the US.

Dennis Arekpita Ogirri, Ph.D



Professor Dennis Arekpita Ogirri had his university education in Nigeria and the United States. A former Public Officer and Fulbright Scholar, Ogirri is currently an Associate Dean and Professor at Strayer University in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is a certified interdisciplinary professor and he teaches Business, Public Administration, and Political Science courses. Professor Ogirri is a father of three and a grandfather

  Francis Omoh Kadiri

Francis is an International Attorney. He studied and practiced Law in Nigeria before arriving the United States, and was called to the Georgia Bar after completing his law studies at the New England Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. Francis operates a Law Firm in Stone Mountain in Georgia.
